Head of Credit Department, from 2008 to March 2011.

He was in charge of the banking industry policies concerning regulation, stakeholders engagement and cooperative solutions about households and firms credit markets. 

Main focus of interventions were:
- the mortgage market (e.g. with the first national plan for a one-year suspension of installments for the households hit by the crisis),
- the consumer credit market,
- microcredit and financial inclusion projects (including the first microcredit initiative promoted by Italian banks at the national level: www.prestitodellasperanza.it),
- the financing of small and medium enterprises (SMEs),
- the covered bonds market,
- project financing with pubblic-private partnership.

Furthermore, he worked on financial education for young and elderly people, vocational training for banks’ specialists, annual national events - at the industry level - on credit market and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), studies and publications on banking and development.

He contributed, on behalf of ABI, to the Accounting Guidelines for Nonprofit Organizations issued by the National Authority on the Nonprofit Sector.

He was member of the Economic Affairs Committe at the European Mortgage Federation, where he represented the Italian banking industry.
